AIGA Cincinnati's first Green Salon is an exciting opportunity for Cincinnati-area designers to share ideas, learn and discuss trends in design through the innovation of
sustainable practices. Moderated by Marc Alt of the Center for Sustainable Design, an exciting panel of speakers* from a variety of business and design perspectives will
field questions and discuss trends, influences and ideas in leading the way to greener packaging solutions.
The Greater Cincinnati design community has a unique opportunity to position Cincinnati designers as leading innovators, and the focus of green business. Through
sharing these ideas, all attendees can learn how sustainable design practices lead to innovation in business, and why using and wasting less makes good business sense. |

Marc Alt is president of Marc Alt + Partners, a design, research and brand strategy agency dedicated to sustainable innovation. Marc Alt + Partners provides
consulting services, strategy and insight to clients from a diverse range of industry verticals including automotive, advertising, fashion, finance,
venture/private equity, design and brand strategy, consumer electronics, luxury and travel. Recent engagements include BMW/MINI USA, Bloomberg LP,
Ogilvy, Butler Shine (BSSP), Liz Claiborne, Lippincott, Consumer Electronics Association of America (CEA), The Green Electronics Council/EPEAT, Neenah
Paper and others. A sought after speaker, Marc has lectured and presented workshops at international conferences including Opportunity Green, Sustainable
Brands, CES, GLG Clean Tech Forum and AIGA. Marc is the co-founder of the Greener Gadgets Conference, recently purchased by CEA. Marc is also actively
involved in initiatives that are helping design and product innovation teams share knowledge and accelerate understanding of sustainable design principles.
Marc serves on the advisory board of the The Designers Accord and is founding co-chair of the AIGA Center for Sustainable Design. He teaches sustainable
design at the School of Visual Arts and has been a guest lecturer at Yale and F.I.T.

Aaron Keller is a founding partner and the Managing Principal of Capsule, a multi-million dollar design and brand development firm. He has over fifteen
years of consulting experience, and has worked with brands as large as Jack Daniel’s and as small as one-person start-ups managing a variety of
projects, from the development and launch of a large gourmet food retailer identity to the creation of sustainable promotions. Aaron developed his
research background while attending the Manchester School of Business in Manchester, England Aaron has an MBA from the Carlson School of
Management at the University of Minnesota and has taught integrated marketing at the University of St. Thomas as an adjunct professor. Aaron has
spoken on frequently brand management and has written two books on the subjects of packaging and logo design, Design Matters: Logos and
Design Matters: Packaging, and has been quoted in a variety publicationsincluding The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Packaging Digest,
HOW Magazine, and Marketing News. His client experience includes 3M, Caribou Coffee, FetzerWines, Fisher-Price, HoMedics, Honeywell, Jack Daniel’s,

Tanya Blasko is a Design Manager in Personal Beauty Care at Procter & Gamble. She received a B.S. in Fine Arts in metal working and printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech. Though her current business focus is as the Brand Identity Design Leader for the Deodorants Category, she also co-leads the Design Trends Mastery Team, an internal resource for P&G Design that aims to inspire, inform and ignite Design Managers and their business teams.
For the past five years her focus was in Skin Care managing, most notably, the structural design and launch of Olay Definity and the structural and visual identity of Olay Professional Pro-X, one of the most successful launches in Olay history.
Prior to joining P&G, she lived in NYC and worked in the accessories industry and spent several years in Los Angeles working in entertainment.
She is intrigued by the creative possibilities sparked by the intersection of Design and Sustainability.

Matthew Kennedy is a 25-year veteran of the CPG industry working with leading retailers and manufacturers like, Procter & Gamble, Kroger, H. J. Heinz, GNC, Unilever and Caterpillar. During his career, Matthew has created, designed, directed and managed leading brand solutions that have resulted in financial successes nationally and internationally. He has created many products and brands with patents spanning several categories. Matthew created Kennedy Creative a leading Strategy + Design consultancy 13 years ago and continues to advise Fortune 50 companies as well as developing strong regional brand leaders. In 2007 Matthew created the Sustain® Brand after several years of research. Matthew lives in the Ohio valley with his wife and three children. |

David Lemley is a lip-syncing eighth grade talent show loser (despite full kiss regalia) who went on to found his own brand design firm. For over 20 years as President of Lemley Design, he has focused on holistic branding programs and design strategies for some of the most respected, design companies in the world, including Pepsi, Nike, Starbucks, REI and Wal-Mart.
